Jasmine Thomas was a standout student-athlete at Oakton High School in Vienna, Virginia. After high school, she enrolled at Duke University where she majored in sociology and excelled on the basketball court and in the classroom.
Jasmine was drafted in the first round of the 2011 WNBA Draft. Since entering the league, Jasmine has built a reputation as an athletic and relentless defender, and currently sits 18th on the WNBA all-time assists list.
Off the court Jasmine has committed herself to supporting organizations focusing on women’s empowerment, women’s health, child welfare, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. In 2021 Jasmine was recognized with the June WNBA Cares Community Assist Award.
